The Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) declared 72 candidates in its second list on Wednesday for the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha polls.
However, the second list includes 13 seats from Assam, 10 seats from Madhya Pradesh, 10 seats from Rajasthan, 7 seats from Gujarat, 3 from Uttarakhand, and one seat from Daman and Diu.
According to the Election Commission of India (ECI), the Lok Sabha poll notification is likely to be held on March 13, 2024.
Interestingly, the ruling Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) skipped at least 33 sitting Lok Sabha MPs from the first list of candidates.
It is known that Pramod Sawant, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, has been the eleventh chief minister of Goa, representing the Sanquelim constituency.
