The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) named its first list of 195 candidates for the 18th Lok Sabha polls. The BJP named nine seats out of the 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana. In this list are Etela Rajendar from Malkajigiri, Bandi Sanjay from Karimnagar, Dharmapuri Arvind from Nizamabad, BB Patil from Zaheerabad, Kishen Reddy from Secunderabad, Madhavi Latha from Hyderabad, Vishveshwar Reddy from Chevella, Bharath from Nagarkurnool, and Narasaiah Goud from Bhongir.
The BJP declared 5 seats out of the 7 Lok Sabha seats in the national capital for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. In this list are Bansuri Swaraj from New Delhi, Kamaljit Sehrawat from West Delhi, Ramvir Singh Bidhuri from South Delhi, Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi, and Parveen Khandelwal from Chandni Chowk. Former star cricketer and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir, from the East Delhi seat, revealed that he would quit politics.
Interestingly, the ruling Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) skipped at least 33 sitting Lok Sabha MPs from the first list of candidates. The first list includes PM Modi, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, and several other BJP top leaders. Meanwhile, Jyotiraditya Scindia will contest from Guna, and ex-MP Shivraj Chouhan will contest from Vidisha.
