Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday night in view of the 18th Lok Sabha polls. For the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Naidu is probably going to join the BJP-led NDA.
Earlier today, Chandrababu met Guntur MP Jayadev Galla. Recently, MP Galla Jayadev said that he was officially quitting active politics. Interestingly, Jayadev made the statement just a few months before the Assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Andhra Pradesh.
MP Jayadev Galla made his final speech in Parliament on Monday. During his speech in Lok Sabha, Jayadev stressed PM Modi’s transformative governance. He also praised the PM Modi administration for India’s outstanding advancement in the economy and standing in the world.
Before the 17th Lok Sabha elections in 2018, the TDP left the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), of which it had been a member. It is known that the Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Party, which was also in the NDA bloc, has already joined hands with Chandrababu’s TDP.
