Front-row attendees at the Independence Day celebrations included Union ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Amit Shah, and S. Jaishankar. The theme for this year’s event was ‘Viksit Bharat @ 2047’.
The gathering featured individuals from diverse backgrounds—youth, tribal communities, farmers, women, and other distinguished guests—who have achieved success through various government schemes and initiatives.
Students from the Atal Innovation Mission and PM SHRI schools, along with volunteers from Mera Yuva Bharat and the National Service Scheme under ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh,’ attended the event.
Other guests included tribal artisans, members of ‘Van Dhan Vikas,’ tribal entrepreneurs funded by the National Scheduled Tribes Finance & Development Corporation, and beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.
Also present were ASHA workers, ANMs, anganwadi workers, elected women representatives, beneficiaries of the Sankalp scheme, Lakhpati Didi and Drone Didi initiatives, Sakhi Kendra scheme participants, and workers from Child Welfare Committees and district child protection units.
A total of 2,000 cadets from the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NCC, representing various schools nationwide, participated in the celebrations. Positioned on Gyanpath opposite the ramparts, these cadets formed the ‘My Bharat’ logo using customized tricolor kits.
