The International Road Federation (IRF) has raised alarm over multiple deadly sleeper-bus fires that killed over 40 people. The IRF blamed unsafe designs, flammable interiors, and lack of emergency exits. It urged strict enforcement of India’s AIS-052 bus body code and called for mandatory cutting tools in rescue vehicles to ensure quicker passenger evacuation.
