According to a news release from the Royal Bahamas Police Force, a lifeguard carried the woman and a male relative she was with to shore and administered CPR. As stated in the statement, “the victim suffered significant trauma to the right side of her body,” and medical personnel pronounced her deceased. Police did not name the resort. There is currently an investigation underway.
