Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said love, respect and humility are missing in Indian politics. Addressing the Indian American community in Texas, he also criticised RSS for believing that India is “one idea”. He said, “RSS believes that India is one idea. We believe that India is a multiplicity of ideas. Very much like the US, we believe that everybody should be allowed to dream.”
He also talked about human nature, and described a ‘devta’ as a person whose internal feelings are exactly the same as his external expression. Rahul said, “Devta in India actually means a person whose internal feelings are exactly the same as his external expression, which means he is a completely transparent being, it does not mean god.”
