Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy departed for Delhi, where he was scheduled to meet with high-ranking party officials to discuss MLC nominations and the distribution of portfolios among recently appointed ministers in his Cabinet yesterday night. Along with introducing the Maha Lakshmi free bus travel program for women, he will be back by Saturday morning to attend the Legislative Assembly session at 11 a.m. Revanth Reddy met K.C. Venugopal, the general secretary of the AICC, when he arrived in Delhi. According to sources, he made suggestions regarding the portfolios that the ministers should be given. Plans to fill the six vacancies in the cabinet were also covered by him. But it’s anticipated that the cabinet enlargement will take some time. The Telangana Cabinet, which includes the Chief Minister, has a maximum age of 18. Revanth Reddy and eleven other ministers took an oath on Thursday. According to the governor’s quota, there are two MLC openings. Since they were elected as MLAs, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Kasireddy Narayan Reddy, Kadiam Srihari, and Padi Kaushik Reddy, the current BRS MLCs, will submit their resignations. According to reports, Revanth Reddy and Venugopal spoke about the six MLC vacancies and potential Congress candidates for those seats. Revanth Reddy suggests appointing a minority leader as an MLC in order to include him in his cabinet, because there is currently no minister from the minority group in the Cabinet. Since he gave up his Kamareddy seat to Revanth Reddy in order to challenge BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, the name of former minister Mohd Ali Shabbir is making the rounds.
