Cop In Telangana Detained For Raping Coworker At Gunpoint

According to officials, a woman head constable was allegedly sexually assaulted by a sub-inspector of the Telangana Police on Wednesday, leading to her detention and dismissal from the force. For sexually abusing a female coworker, P.V.S. Bhavanisen Goud, Sub-Inspector of the Kaleshwaram police station in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, was taken into custody. On June 15, the woman was sexually assaulted inside the former police station next to the Kaleshwaram project’s Laxmi pump house. Before raping her, she claimed he had threatened her with his handgun. In addition, he threatened to punish her severely if she told anyone about the occurrence.

The police confiscated the Sl’s service revolver and arrested him after receiving a complaint from the 42-year-old victim. Goud was charged under Section 27 of the Arms Act, Section 376(2) (A) (B), 324, 449, and 506 of the IPC, and a report from the policeman. After that, the Sl was accused of sexually abusing three more female police officers, according to additional claims. Inspector General of Police A.V. Ranganath fired Goud after giving the situation serious consideration. Following a preliminary investigation launched in response to the victim’s complaint, which indicated that the Sl had sexually assaulted her, the IG issued orders for his removal under Article 311 of the Constitution. In July 2022, a complaint was filed against Goud at the Rebbena Police Station in the Asifabad district for allegedly sexually abusing a woman while pretending to help her prepare for the constable recruitment exam. After receiving a suspension, he was subsequently sent to the police station at Kaleshwaram.
