Sri Lanka made an impressive start in the ODI series against West Indies, securing a 41-run victory in the 1st ODI of this tour. After posting 303/7 in their allotted 50 overs, the visitors put the hosts under pressure throughout the chase. West Indies fought hard but were bowled out for 262 in 49.2 overs, allowing Sri Lanka to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
