Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai hailed the Supreme Court's ruling on the state's temples' alleged ban on the public viewing of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony's live telecast from Ayodhya Ram Temple. He termed the verdict as a victory to the people who believe in Dharma.
Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai hailed the Supreme Court’s ruling on the state’s temples’ alleged ban on the public viewing of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony’s live telecast from Ayodhya Ram Temple. He termed the verdict as a victory to the people who believe in Dharma.
In response to a writ petition filed by the BJP, the Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that police and state authorities were not required to follow any “oral orders” prohibiting the live broadcast of Lord Ram’s Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya on January 22, as well as the conduct of poojas, archanas, and other events related to the event.
Annamalai stated that Supreme Court judges have come very hard on the Tamil Nadu government by saying that it is your duty to regulate, not to ban. It is a victory for the Tamil Nadu people. It is a victory for all the people who believe in Dharma.
The BJP leader further stated that there is no ban anywhere whatsoever for telecasting the Pran Pratishta, doing ‘annadaan’ and doing pooja in private temples. If there is no written order, the Tamil Nadu government can’t ban the live telecast of proceedings from Ayodhya.
Annamalai also slammed the DMK government in the state for interfering with people’s religious faith. People are very happy that the police, who were using all the draconian measures from morning, are all pulling back now. We have never seen a government interfering in people’s religious faith like what DMK is doing now, he asserted.
