Congress Will Talk With Samajwadi Party About Seat-Sharing For Lok Sabha Polls
According to Congress party sources, the Congress is likely to conduct seat-sharing talks with all its alliance partners before launching the campaign for the Lok Sabha polls.
The Congress Party will conduct seat-sharing talks with the Samajwadi Party ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. In this regard, the Congress National Alliance Committee will meet with Samajwadi Party leaders on seat-sharing in Uttar Pradesh tomorrow for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. However, the discussions will be conducted at Rajya Sabha MP Mukul Wasnik’s house in New Delhi on January 17, 2024.
According to Congress party sources, the Congress is likely to conduct seat-sharing talks with all its alliance partners before launching the campaign for the Lok Sabha polls. Meanwhile, the crucial talks on seat-sharing with the Samajwadi Party come after the Congress conducted a meeting with Aam Aadmi Party leaders recently. The upcoming Lok Sabha polls will be held in April and May 2024.
Earlier, Congress national chief Mallikarjun Kharge stressed that, at first, the Congress party is focusing on all 500-plus parliamentary constituencies and has appointed parliament observers for the same. Earlier in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA won 353 seats, the UPA stood at 91, and other parties won 98 seats.
