The Andhra Pradesh government will introduce a special financial support package for those severely affected by the recent heavy floods in Vijayawada.
The financial package includes up to Rs. 25,000 for heavily submerged houses and Rs. 10,000 for partially submerged houses. Additionally, affected individuals will receive Rs. 3,000 for motorcycle repairs and Rs. 10,000 for taxi repairs.
On the other side, CM Chandrababu will begin his tour of the North Coastal districts on Wednesday, despite heavy rains. The TDP chief will inspect several flood-affected areas, with the tour scheduled to continue through Thursday.
The CM will visit Visakhapatnam and the Eleru canal areas, where he will offer reassurance to flood victims. Naidu will also visit Nandiwada, Kolleru, and Repalle on Thursday.
The flood water level of the Krishna river is rising gradually at the Srisailam dam located in the Nandyal district. At least 5 gates were lifted by 10 feet, and the water is released downstream.
The current inflow was recorded at 2,46,379 lakh cusecs and the outflow at 2,05,830 cusecs at the dam. The full water level of the project is 885 feet, and the current water level is 883.70 feet.
