AP CM Chandrababu held a review meeting on the Tirumala Laddu issue with cabinet ministers and top officials on Saturday. The TTD Executive Officer presented an initial report regarding the use of adulterated ingredients in the preparation of Tirumala laddu.
The preliminary findings were discussed during the meeting, and officials are expected to provide further information on Sunday. One interesting fact is that the laddu is considered a form of prasadam, representing the blessings of Lord Venkateswara.
Tirumala Laddu, the sacred sweet offered at the Tirumala Tirupati temple, is renowned for its unique taste and spiritual significance. Made primarily from wheat flour, sugar, ghee, and a blend of other ingredients, these laddus are prepared in a traditional manner, adhering to strict quality standards.
Each laddu is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, with around 1.5 lakh laddus produced daily to meet the demands of devotees. Devotees believe that consuming this laddu brings prosperity and fulfillment of wishes.
Also, the Tirumala Laddu has received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag, recognizing its distinct identity tied to its origin. The temple’s kitchen, known as the “Potu,” operates continuously, emphasizing the spiritual dedication behind this delicacy.
