The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has issued important instructions for Srivari devotees. As part of the preparations for Garudaseva on the 8th, two-wheelers will be banned on the ghat roads. This restriction will be in effect from 9 PM on the 7th until 6 AM on the 9th.
It is known that the Srivari Brahmotsavam is scheduled to take place in Tirumala from October 4 to 12, 2024. The TTD has assured that all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth experience for devotees during these festivities.
The Srivari Brahmotsavam is one of the most significant festivals celebrated at the Tirumala Tirupati temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. This grand event typically takes place over nine days, attracting thousands of devotees from across the country and beyond.
The festival commemorates the divine marriage of Lord Venkateswara and is marked by elaborate rituals, processions, and cultural performances.
The highlight is the daily “Rathotsavam” or chariot procession, where the idol of the deity is paraded through the streets in a beautifully decorated chariot. Devotees participate in various rituals, including offering “Vastram” (clothes) and “Naivedyam” (food offerings).
The festival not only strengthens the spiritual connection among devotees but also showcases the rich cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh.
