The ED has alleged massive corruption in Chhattisgarh’s Excise Department between 2019 and 2023 in a supplementary prosecution complaint. The agency claims the scam generated proceeds of crime worth about ₹2,883 crore. It named 59 new accused, taking the total number of accused in the case to 81, with further probes underway at present.
