The Indian Meteorological Department has announced the possibility of low pressure forming in the Bay of Bengal on Monday. In light of this, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for 11 districts in Telangana.
These districts – Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalli, Bhupalapalli, Mulugu, Rangareddy, Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Vanaparthi, and Narayanapet – are expected to experience rains.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) uses a color-coded alert system to inform the public about weather conditions and potential hazards.
Red alert is the most severe warning, indicating extreme weather events that pose a significant threat to life and property. A red alert signifies that residents should take immediate action.
Orange alert indicates that severe weather is likely and could disrupt normal activities. While it does not require immediate action like a red alert, it warns the public to remain vigilant and prepared for potential emergencies.
Yellow alert is a cautionary alert that signifies the possibility of severe weather. It serves as a heads-up for residents to stay informed and cautious.
Understanding these alerts helps the public respond appropriately to varying weather threats and ensures safety during adverse conditions.
