Vizag Harbour Fire Investigation Still Ongoing

The police claim that the investigation into the harbor fire that happened on November 19 and destroyed 40 boats and partially damaged another 20 has not progressed. So far, authorities have questioned forty people connected to the fishing harbor. They haven’t, however, been able to find any information on the people who started the fire. The Forensic Science Laboratory staff has started collecting samples to determine whether chemicals were used in the fire’s initiation. An official from the intelligence department stated, “Since CCTV cameras in the harbor had remained non-functional on that day, police are checking cameras outside the harbor.”They are also checking the location of mobile phones of people in that area at the time of the incident.” He claimed that six teams have been created by Commissioner of Police A.
