In preparation for the national elections that take place the following year, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi plans to start a yatra that will connect the country’s western and northeastern regions. On January 14, Gandhi will set off on his 6,200-kilometer “Bharat Nyay Yatra,” which will take him from Manipur to Mumbai. The yatra, which is scheduled to end on March 20 before the polls, is known as the second and east-west phase of his north-south Bharat Jodo Yatra from the previous year, which the party said was responsible for its electoral successes in two southern states. But the BJP shot back at the Congress statement, claiming that the Bharat Jodo Yatra had been rejected by the people.
“Bharat Nyay Yatra” will be launched in Imphal by Congress head Mallikarjun Kharge, and Gandhi will go through 14 states and 85 districts. He will cover a number of states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and West Bengal. Footmarches and sections of bus travel will be included in this. According to the Congress, the goal of the Nyay Yatra is to establish political, social, and economic fairness for all citizens of the nation. The Congress stated that it aimed to initiate the process of mending people’s wounds when it selected Manipur, which has been ravaged by violence, as the starting point.
