Telangana Governor Tamilisai gave the oath of office to Revanth Reddy and eleven other ministers. Sworn in as Speaker of the Telangana Assembly is Gaddam Prasad Kumar.
Twelve ministers took oaths with Revanth Reddy, including Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Ponnam Prabhakar, K Chandrashekar RaoVenkat Reddy, Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Dana Anasuya, Tummala Nageswar Rao, Konda Surekha, and Jupally Krishna Rao. Together with the other ministers, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was sworn in as Telangana’s deputy chief minister.
Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi, along with Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) chairman Sonia Gandhi, were present for the Chief Minister’s formal oath-taking ceremony. With 65 out of 119 Assembly seats, the Congress easily defeated the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, led by K Chandrashekar Rao, which has ruled Telangana since the party’s founding in 2014.
