BRS leader KT Rama Rao lashed out at Karnataka’s Congress government on Sunday. He said that the Siddaramaiah government has not lifted the ban on hijab yet.
“The CM said that they are thinking about it. People are seeing the Congress’ behavior. People understood what Congress said before coming to power and how they changed after getting power,” KTR said.
The debate on the hijab issue again surfaced in Karnataka after CM Siddaramaiah announced that his government would lift the ban on hijab in a public meeting. The previous BJP government imposed the ban in the state.
“We are thinking of withdrawing the hijab ban. We will discuss it. I have said this in response to a question. We have not done it yet,” the CM added after. Siddaramaiah said in his speech that no politics should be done about what people prefer to wear and eat.
