Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to allocate more senior IPS officers to the Telangana state. In this regard, CM Revanth met Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday and discussed several ongoing problems and issues facing Telangana and its people. In addition to that, CM Revanth asked Ami Shah about the settlement of pending dues from Andhra Pradesh.
During the visit, CM Revanth Reddy also called upon Union Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat at the Shram Shakti Bhawan. However, CM Revanth also presented an important proposal to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to give national status to the ‘Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme’.
It is known that the prestigious Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation scheme was inaugurated by the then Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao at Narlapur in Nagarkurnool district in 2023. Meanwhile, the popular Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme envisages creating irrigation potential in upland areas of Nagarkurnool, Mahabubnagar, Vikarabad, Rangareddy, and Nalgonda districts for an ayacut of 10.00 lakh acres, drinking water to enroute villages.
