The Indian stock market began with gains today, January 23, 2024. At 10.05 am, the Sensex gained 336 points and is trading at 71,759.75 points, and the Nifty gained 88 points and is trading at 21,659.80 points. Meanwhile, the Indian rupee is trading at 83.12 against the US dollar today.
A total of eleven stocks have been put under the ban for trade today, January 23, under the futures and options (F&O) segment by the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail, Balrampur Chini Mills, Delta Corp, IEX, IRCTC, National Aluminium Company, Oracle Financial Services Software, Polycab, RBL Bank, SAIL, and ZEEL are the 11 stocks that are a part of the F&O ban list by the stock market exchange for today.
Meanwhile, the Indian domestic stock market was closed on Monday due to the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the Ayodhya Ram temple. Earlier, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issued a stock market holiday on January 22, 2024, to mark the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.
