The India Meteorological Department (IMD) declared that the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius today, one degree below normal.
The Delhi airport officials issued new guidelines and said that passengers are requested to contact the airline concerned for updated flight operations.
However, the arrival of two dozen passenger trains to the national capital was delayed by up to 6 hours or more, and several flights were also very late due to poor visibility conditions.
In addition to that, zero visibility was reported at Palam Airport, while Safdarjung Airport reported 200 m of visibility in dense fog conditions this morning.
