Overnight Light Rainfall Affects Flight Operations In National Capital
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) declared that the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius today, one degree below normal.
Overnight Light rainfall on Saturday in the national capital disrupted several flight services at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. Many flights were delayed, and the flights were scheduled to fly to international destinations such as Riyadh, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Vienna, Toronto, and Bangkok.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) declared that the minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 7 degrees Celsius today, one degree below normal. The IMD also predicted thundershowers and drizzle across many parts of the national capital today.
The IMD issued a press release saying that foggy conditions were observed at 5.30 am today while dense to very dense fog was experienced in isolated areas of Odisha. The IMD also said that moderate to shallow fog was also seen in isolated areas of Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, eastern Rajasthan, and Gangetic West Bengal.
A steady and persistent drizzle was combined with a thin layer of fog that enveloped the national capital on Saturday morning. Earlier on Saturday, the IMD declared visibility at Delhi’s main weather stations at Safdarjung and Palam at 1500 meters and 800 meters, respectively, at 8.30 am.
