Gambhir emphasized that despite their ages—Rohit at 40 and Kohli at 38 during the World Cup—they still have much to contribute to the team.
Gambhir stated, “One thing I can be very clear of is that both of those guys have a lot of cricket left in them. More importantly, with the Champions Trophy and a big tour to Australia, obviously they would be motivated enough”. He highlighted their experience and ability to perform on big stages, referencing their past successes in major tournaments like the T20 and ODI World Cups.
