Surya said, “Thank you for the love and support showered on me. The last few weeks seem like a dream to me. It is a great feeling to play for the country. I can’t describe it in words. The new responsibility has given me more enthusiasm.”
Interestingly, the upcoming T20 series marks a new era in the t20 format, and it will be India’s first international assignment under new coach Gautam Gambhir and new captain Surya Kumar Yadav. It is known that Gambhir was appointed as the head coach of Team India earlier this month.
Surya Kumar Yadav made his international debut at the age of 30 in 2021. In fact, Yadav has been one of India’s biggest stars in T20Is, with an unprecedented level of consistency combined with a fast-run flow that is unorthodox.
On the international stage in the T20 format, the 33-year-old has scored 2,340 runs at an average of 43.33 in 68 matches. He has a strike rate of 167.74, four centuries, and 19 fifties, with a best score of 117.
