SC To Review Middleman James’ Jail Release Plea

The Supreme Court agreed to hear Christian Michel James’ plea in the ₹3,600-crore AgustaWestland VVIP Chopper Scam seeking his release from jail. A bench issued notice to the Centre, CBI and ED, seeking responses in four weeks. James has challenged Article 17 of the extradition treaty, with the matter scheduled for hearing in July.
