Telangana People Will Never Forget KCR For Insulting Indira Gandhi: Kharge
Telangana Chief Minister KCR came under fire from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who said that the people of the state will never forgive him for disparaging Indira Gandhi.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR came under fire from Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who said that the people of the state will never forgive him for disparaging Indira Gandhi.
Kharge’s comments came after KCR’s attack on Congress and Indira Gandhi while addressing a public gathering in Khammam District on Tuesday. The CM made a scathing attack at the grand-old party, recalling the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s regime, and said, “Congress leaders are saying if voted to power, they will bring the Indirama (Indira Gandhi) regime. Why do we need that regime? Did any good happen during that? The poor were left as poor, and SC and STs have been used as vote banks. If they had done good, this wouldn’t have been the situation for Dalits and Girijans.”
While condemning KCR comments, Kharge wrote on platform X, “An arrogant KCR, drunk on power, has heaped insults on Smt. Indira Gandhi. Justice, welfare, and development are the three pillars of Indiramma Rajyam, to which the Congress party is steadfastly dedicated.” In addition to Kharge, the Party’s general secretary K.C. Venugopal and other leaders also took a swipe at CM KCR.
