Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on Sikh’s situation in India justifies the demand for seperate Khalistani state. Rahul said that Sikh’s were not allowed to wear a turban or kada in India during his visit to Virginia. Pannun said that Gandhi’s statement on the “existential threat to Sikhs in India is firmly grounded in the factual history”.
Supreme Court lawyer Vineet Jindal filed a complaint with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, NIA Director General, and Delhi Police Commissioner against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. The complaint follows Gandhi’s controversial remarks in the US about Sikhs and their religious symbols. Jindal seeks action for false statements and has requested the cancellation of Gandhi’s passport.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi whipped up a political storm with his remarks on the state of religious freedom in India. Speaking at an event in US, Rahul said, “The fight (in India) is about whether a Sikh is going to be allowed to wear a turban, whether a Sikh will be allowed to wear a kada or go to the Gurudwara. That’s what the fight is about, and it’s not just for Sikhs, but for all religions”.
