‘PM Modi Has Failed To Provide 2 Cr Jobs Per Year’
Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah alleged that PM Narendra Modi failed to provide 2 crore jobs per year as promised by him. He also noted that 20 crore jobs were to be provided in ten years, which did not happen.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of failing to fulfill his promise of providing 2 crore jobs per year, as pledged during his election campaign. Siddaramaiah also highlighted that the commitment to create 20 crore jobs in ten years has not materialized.
The CM made these remarks while inaugurating a project aimed at filling 150 lakes and ponds in 79 villages in Periyapatna taluk from the Cauvery River at Muthtinamulusoge.
Taking a dig at the central government, Siddaramaiah remarked that the invocation of Lord Ram is being used to divert attention from their unfulfilled promises. He emphasized the Congress government’s commitment to delivering on its promises, citing successful projects that have revived lakes in Kolar and Chikkaballapur.
Siddaramaiah further stated that the current project would breathe life into the lakes of Periyapatna and enhance groundwater levels in the region. He criticized the BJP for not keeping its promises, citing the state government’s ongoing efforts to secure the state’s share of drought relief from the central government.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah, Siddaramaiah claimed that despite continuous efforts and letters since September of the previous year, the central government has not allocated any funds for drought relief in the state.
