Ideology of Hatred Took Away Our Beloved Bapu: Rahul Gandhi

Congress key leader Rahul Gandhi took a veiled dig at the BJP on the 76th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. He urged fellow citizens not to allow the flame of truth to be extinguished in the face of hatred.

The Congress MP wrote on his official X handle, “On this day, the ideology of hatred and violence took away our beloved Bapu. Today, that same mindset wants to take away Bapu’s principles and ideals as well.

This will be our sincere tribute to Gandhi Ji.” Rahul’s ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ completed its West Bengal leg and entered Bihar on Tuesday. His arrival to Bihar is significant as it happened just two days after Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar ditched the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ government in the state.

The JD(U) also announced his exit from the national opposition alliance, INDIA bloc. The Congress was a key member of both the state and opposition alliances. Nitish returned to the BJP-led NDA fold once again and took oath as the Bihar CM for the ninth time. INDIA bloc is the national bloc of Opposition forces, and Nitish was a key architect of it.
