Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has instructed officials to transform Amaravati into a prominent Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub. In a review meeting attended by Municipal Administration Minister Narayana and Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials, Naidu emphasized designing the city’s logo to reflect AI, with the letters A and I. He stressed that technology should be integrated into every aspect of the city’s infrastructure.
Naidu criticized the previous YSRCP government for neglecting Amaravati, calling for expedited development to revitalize the capital. He noted that the CRDA office, designed as a G+7 structure, had stalled for five years and demanded its completion within 90 days without compromising quality, using advanced technology.
The Chief Minister also addressed the delay of the Happy Next project, which had sold out quickly under the TDP regime but was neglected afterward. He ordered its immediate revival. With 3,558 acres still needed for the capital area, Naidu encouraged farmers to contribute their land and instructed officials to resolve any related issues.
Additionally, Naidu mandated the use of drones for monitoring jungle clearance and urged fast-tracking metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada. The Visakhapatnam metro’s first phase, costing ₹11,400 crore, should be completed in four years, while the Vijayawada project, at ₹11,000 crore, must also be accelerated.
