IMD Issues Heatwave Alert For South Bengal

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned of heatwave conditions in parts of South Bengal till April 25 due to dry winds and strong solar heating. Temperatures may rise 3-5°C above normal in western areas. Meanwhile, thunderstorms are likely in North Bengal till April 28. Panagarh recorded 43.8°C, with Kolkata at 35.6°C amid humid conditions.
