Padma Shri Environmentalist Thimmakka Passes Away At 114

Padma Shri awardee Salumaradha Thimmakka, fondly known as the Mother of Trees, passed away today at the age of 114 in a Bengaluru hospital due to respiratory complications. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah expressed deep shock over her demise. Thimmakka was nationally honored for planting and nurturing thousands of trees, earning immense respect.
