India-UAE Joint Exercise ‘Desert Cyclone’ To Begin On Jan 2

The United Arab Emirates and India will conduct the esteemed joint military drill known as “Desert Cyclone-2024” in Rajasthan from January 2 to January 15, 2024. ‘Desert Cyclone 2024’, a combined military exercise, will focus on improving interoperability through the exchange of best practices in urban operations.

However, India and the UAE enjoy strong bonds of friendship that are founded on millennia-old cultural, religious, and economic exchanges between the two regions. In this regard, India has also been a regular participant at the biennial International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) in Abu Dhabi.

In recent years, bilateral defence cooperation has been strengthened, notably in the field of defence training and supply of defence inventory, besides regular exchange events. The Indian Army shared a post on ‘X’ and wrote, “Exercise #DesertCyclone_2024.
