In a piece of great news for BRS cadre, BRS MLC Kavitha got relief in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. Kavitha, who is the daughter of ex-CM KCR, was granted bail in connection with the Delhi liquor scam case.
As part of the hearing, the Supreme Court has issued an order granting bail to the BRS leader. Meanwhile, it is known that the ED arrested Kavitha on March 15, 2024, in the liquor scam case.
The Supreme Court granted bail to the BRS leader on three main grounds. Firstly, the CBI has filed the final charge sheet. Second, the ED said that the investigation has been completed.
Thirdly, it is also clear that women need to be considered. Finally, Kavitha has no need to stay in jail.
Speaking on behalf of the Enforcement Directorate’s lawyer, SV Raju, “As soon as the ED’s notice came, Kavita destroyed all phones. The phones were formatted and given to the workers in the house. Kavitha’s evidence was deliberately tampered with. Only 10 days worth of data was recovered from her phones.”
