The ruling Congress party has called for staged protests across the Telangana state on Friday over KTR’s comments on free bus travel for women. On the other hand, the State Women’s Commission has taken this issue seriously.
It said that former IT minister KTR will appear before the commission and give an explanation. It has been revealed that notices will also be issued to KTR to this extent.
Congress cadre became very serious about the comments made by BRS working president KTR on women. It was suggested to burn effigies of KTR across the state on Friday.
KTR made serious comments about breaking dances and recording dances on buses, which humiliated women in the state. Congress leader Mahesh Kumar Goud was serious about these comments.
Mahesh Kumar Goud said, “In protest against KTR’s attitude, which has damaged the self-respect of women, they want to burn the effigies and carry out protest programs in mandal, constituency, and district centers.”
On the other side, KTR apologized to women over his comments on free bus travel in Telangana. KTR said, “If our women sisters were offended by the comments made in the party meeting on Friday, I am sorry. He never had any intention of insulting his sisters.”
