Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Links Kavitha’s Bail To Congress Getting Rajya Sabha Seat
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has made allegations connecting the bail secured by BRS leader K Kavitha in the Delhi liquor policy case to the upcoming Rajya Sabha entry of Congress candidate
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar has made allegations connecting the bail secured by BRS leader K Kavitha in the Delhi liquor policy case to the upcoming Rajya Sabha entry of Congress candidate Abhishek Manu Singhvi. Singhvi, who represented Kavitha in court after her arrest in March, is now the Congress’s nominee from Telangana for the September 3 bypolls.
Sanjay Kumar criticized the alliance between the Congress and BRS, referring to them as “partners in crime” and suggesting they are closely aligned. He praised former Chief Minister KCR for his political strategy in supporting Singhvi’s unopposed nomination to the Rajya Sabha, stating, “Congratulations to the Congress party and its advocates for securing bail for BRS MLC in the infamous liquor scam.”
He further emphasized that this bail represents a mutual benefit for both the BRS and Congress, as it allows Kavitha to be released while facilitating Singhvi’s entry into the Rajya Sabha. Following the defection of BRS leader K Keshava Rao to Congress, Singhvi is expected to secure his fourth term in the Rajya Sabha, as the BRS has not put forth a candidate against him. This situation has led Sanjay Kumar to claim a tacit understanding between the two parties.
