The lawsuit about candidates’ height measurements for the position of sub-inspectors infuriated the Andhra Pradesh High Court. A petition was filed in the High Court by the SI candidates. After then, the court gave the order to have these candidates’ physical measurements taken at the High Court. Nonetheless, a few individuals attempted to evade the physical examination by submitting medical certifications. A High Court bench became enraged about this and questioned if they were attempting to defraud the court. Attorney Jada Sravan Kumar intervened and apologized to the bench, asking the court to pardon such candidates. The individuals in question would not be allowed to apply for government jobs again, as the High Court had already threatened. The judges did, however, eventually change the penalty to community service. The candidates for SI were directed to work in public hospitals. In addition, they have to submit an unqualified apology affidavit to the judge.
