PM Modi Visits The Ancient Nalanda University Ruins in Rajgir, Bihar
Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a visit to the historic Nalanda ruins in Rajgir, which are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The archeological remnants of a monastery and scholarly establishment can be found in the ruins of ancient Nalanda. It consists of significant works of art made of stone, metal, and stucco, as well as stupas, shrines, and viharas—residential and educational structures.

Gautami Bhattacharya, the superintending archaeologist at ASI Patna Circle, briefed PM Modi on the ancient ruins. The PM stated in a post on X that today is a very significant day for the education sector prior to his travel to Nalanda. The opening of Nalanda University’s new campus is scheduled to take place in Rajgir. Nalanda is closely linked to our illustrious past. In meeting the educational demands of the youth, this university will undoubtedly make a significant contribution.”
