The oldest university on the Indian Subcontinent is undoubtedly Nalanda. Not long after his tour of the ruins, Prime Minister Modi dedicated the new Nalanda University campus.
In light of the PM’s visit to Nalanda, extensive security measures have been implemented. Gautami Bhattacharya, the superintending archaeologist at ASI Patna Circle, briefed PM Modi on the ancient ruins. The PM stated in a post on X that today is a very significant day for the education sector prior to his travel to Nalanda. The opening of Nalanda University’s new campus is scheduled to take place in Rajgir. Nalanda is closely linked to our illustrious past. In meeting the educational demands of the youth, this university will undoubtedly make a significant contribution.”
