BJP Manifesto Calls For Uniform Civil Code & One Nation, One Election

The BJP’s manifesto for the next Lok Sabha elections was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Known as ‘Sankalp Patra’, the manifesto titled ‘Modi’s Guarantee 2024’ emphasizes the empowerment of women, youth, and the impoverished. GYAN, or schemes for the “Gareeb” (poor), “Yuva” (youth), “Annadaata” (farmers), and “Nari” (women), is the focus of the manifesto. Among other things, it emphasizes developing India’s foreign ties, making the nation wealthy, and encouraging the preservation of its cultural legacy. PM Modi stated that the BJP’s “Sankalp Patra” strengthens “all four strong pillars of developed India”—youth, women, the poor, and farmers”—in remarks made following the manifesto’s unveiling.

Key Promises In The BJP Poll Manifesto Include:

1. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana will encompass the elderly population (over 70 years of age) as well as the transgender community.
2. The PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana would maintain free rationing for the ensuing five years.
3. The BJP manifesto also promises to construct 3 crore homes and strive toward providing all households with affordable pipeline gas. Additionally, under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, it guarantees free electricity to low-income households.
4. The ‘Sankalp Patra’ pledges to uphold One Nation, One Election and the Uniform Civil Code.
5. In addition, the ‘Modi ki Guarantee’ platform pledges to increase the number of Lakhpati Didis from the current almost 1 crore to 3 crore women.
6. In the PM Housing Scheme, people with disabilities will now be given preference, and extra care will be taken to make sure they are housed in accordance with their unique requirements.
7. The healthcare services that are now available to prevent and treat osteoporosis, breast cancer, cervical cancer, and anemia will be increased, with a special emphasis on eliminating cervical cancer.
8. Strict legislation is being implemented to prevent malpractice in the nation’s recruiting exams.
9. The BJP platform pledges to consistently raise the crop’s minimum guaranteed price “from time to time.” Along with an indigenous Bharat Krishi satellite for farm-related operations, it also promises to start a Krishi Infrastructure Mission for integrated planning and coordinated implementation of agri-infrastructure projects.
10. Promise to position India as the world’s third-largest economic force. As of right now, the nation’s economy ranks fifth.
