MK Stalin said the DMK alliance secured 1.54 crore votes in the April 23 Assembly polls, trailing rivals by 17.43 lakh votes with a narrow 3.52% gap. Thanking cadres for their support, he called them the party’s lifeblood and vowed to function as a strong opposition, uphold Dravidian ideals, fight for people’s demands, and work towards regaining power.
