AP Cabinet Approves January Start Of Arogyasri Coverage & Enhanced Pension

The state cabinet approved the implementation of the YSR Aasara and Cheyuta programs in January, as well as raising the monthly old-age social security pensions from the current Rs 2,750 to Rs 3,000 starting in January. In the interim, the Chief Minister will introduce on Monday the new Aarogyasri cards and the more advantageous Aarogyasri program. The YSRC MLAs will take part in the public awareness campaign on the usage of free medical treatment applicable to 3,257 diseases alongside health staff. An amount of Rs 4,400 crore has been allocated for the Aarogyasri initiative this year. It will be recommended that people download the Aarogyasri app. The decision was made to allocate Rs 6,394 crore for the fourth and final tranche of YSR Aasara, which runs from January 10 to January 23, and YSR Cheyuta, which runs from January 29 to February 10.
