In a piece of good news for travelers, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will run 4,484 special buses from January 7 to 15, 2024. The TSRTC took the decision in order to avoid any heavy rush for the upcoming auspicious Sankranti festival. With this decision, people can book their seats in advance at the 626 reservation centers provided by the TSRTC.
TSRTC MD VC Sajjanar conducted a review meeting with senior officials and regional managers at Hyderabad Bus Bhawan on Friday. However, VC Sajjanar discussed the arrangements for special buses during the Sankranti festival, the implementation of the Mahalakshmi scheme, and the amenities provided to passengers. Sajjanar also stressed that all preparations are in full swing to accommodate the increased passenger flow during the Sankranti festival.
Sajjanar highlighted that arrangements like a public address system, a drinking water facility, mobile toilets, and pandals are needed in high-demand areas to avoid any inconvenience to the passengers. Meanwhile, special buses will run in congested areas of Hyderabad, such as MGBS, JBS, Uppal Cross Roads, Arangar, LB Nagar Cross Roads, KPHB, Bowinpally, Gachibowli, etc.
