Updating Aadhaar documents online requires uploading Proof of Identity (PoI) and Proof of Address (PoA), which often costs ₹50 at physical locations.
This method enables individuals to revalidate their demographic information, especially if their Aadhaar card was issued more than ten years ago. Updating biometric details (iris, fingerprints, and photos) costs ₹100 and requires a visit to the nearest Aadhaar center.
Most people are dissatisfied with the photograph on their Aadhaar card. This could be because the photographs were taken a long time ago. Here are a few simple steps by which people can change their pictures:.
* Go to the official UIDAI website and get the Aadhaar enrollment form.
* Take a printout and fill out all the appropriate data.
* Go to your local Aadhaar Enrolment Center or Aadhaar Sewa Kendra and submit the Aadhaar enrollment form to an Aadhaar executive.
* Please provide your biometric information.
* The executive will then take your picture in the center itself.
* To update your details, pay a charge of ₹ 100 to the center.
* You will receive an acknowledgement slip with the URN, which may be used to follow the status of the card.
* After a few days, your updated Aadhaar card is ready; you can download it from the UIDAI website under ‘My Aadhaar’.
* Click ‘obtain Aadhaar’, provide the relevant information, and obtain the updated e-Aadhaar card in a PDF.
* Finally, take a printout of the Aadhar card.
