The Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Kishan Reddy, will flag off three train services from Andhra Pradesh to different destinations today. In this regard, Kishan Reddy will flag off the three extended special trains at a function at Guntur railway station. The union minister will also flag off two more special trains from Renigunta Junction and Narsapur railway stations in a virtual manner today.
According to railway officials, the Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Uday Express train will now extend up to Guntur Junction, which provides enhanced travel options. In addition to that, the Vijayawada-Hubballi Amravati Express train will extend its route up to Narsapur, which offers increased accessibility. Also, the Nandyal-Kadapa Express special train will now run up to Renigunta Junction, which offers the extended portion effectively. These extended services will be scheduled to commence on February 13, 2024, and aim to address the travel needs of the people.
Meanwhile, the key decision to extend these special train services comes as part of South Central Railway’s efforts to offer additional travel facilities and better cater to the diverse needs of the people in the extended portions. However, the move is likely to enhance connectivity, streamline travel options, and improve overall rail transportation efficiency in Andhra Pradesh.
