In a big alert for the people of Hyderabad city and surrounding areas, the South Central Railway (SCR) has canceled at least 23 MMTS trains. The railway officials said that these MMTS trains have been canceled due to non-interlocking works between Maulali and Sanatnagar stations.
The railway officials said that these MMTS trains are running between the twin cities, and these trains are canceled today. Along with these MMTS trains, 51 trains have been canceled by the railway officials due to the phase-2 works currently going on between Maulali-Ammuguda-Sanatnagar stations.
According to the latest railway time table, these 23 MMTS were canceled between stations like Hyderabad-Sirpur Kagaznagar, Vikarabad-Guntur, Repalle-Secunderabad, Lingampally-Hyderabad, Lingampally-Undanagar, and Lingampally-Falaknuma.
It is known that the Hyderabad Multi-Modal Transport System, known as MMTS, is a suburban rail system in Hyderabad. The MMTS is a joint venture of the Government of Telangana and the South Central Railway. The MMTS is a 90-kilometer system that operates from the city of Hyderabad to Secunderabad, Falaknuma, Lingampally, Medchal, and Umdanagar.
