The ‘Imagine’ feature is based on Meta’s large language model and enables users to generate images from text prompts. This means that users can create personalized AI-generated images by simply typing a description of the image they want to create. The feature is currently available in the beta version of WhatsApp, specifically in Android version 2.24.12.4, and can be accessed by tapping on the ‘Imagine’ button in the attachment option.
The ‘Imagine’ feature is not limited to generating images from text prompts. It also allows users to create AI images using the @Meta AI tag in group chats. This feature is particularly useful for users who want to create AI images quickly and easily without having to use external tools or software.
The ‘Imagine’ feature is not the only AI capability that WhatsApp has introduced recently. The platform has also launched an AI Profile Photo Maker in its beta update version 2.24.11.17. This tool allows users to generate unique AI-based profile pictures, giving them a personalized and distinctive appearance.
WhatsApp is continuously working to refine and expand its AI capabilities. The platform has been testing a feature that allows users to share files, including photos and videos, with nearby users without an internet connection.
