Army Deployed Extra Troops Along LoC Ahead Of Republic Day
It is known that Republic Day is celebrated on January 26th every year to mark the day when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950. However, the Republic Day celebrations marking the day feature spectacular military and cultural pageantry.
The Indian Army has deployed extra troops along the Line of Control (LoC) ahead of Republic Day on January 26, 2024. In this regard, the Indian Army deployed snipers and conducted night patrols to guard the Line of Control in the Gurez area in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
In addition to that, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) tightened security on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway ahead of Republic Day celebrations on January 26. The CRPF declared that key checkpoints at various locations along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) have been set up and all vehicles are being checked thoroughly.
At least 13,000 special guests have been invited to witness the parade this year. Meanwhile, the aim is to provide an opportunity for people from all walks of life to take part in the festival, in line with the government’s vision of Jan Bhagidari.
